Eight Years
The all-day item on my schedule today is
Lauren Arrival Anniversary . Eight years ago I met an open trailer on the side of the road just off the Pennsylvania Turnpike and drove a 1985 Corvette with 2,900 mile of road dirt on it back to my house.
I remember that early on the car had so many problems that Ivelis (my wife) was concerned that I would give up on it. But, whether through persistance or stupidity (or a combination of both
), I've kept at it.
Usually I would carefully arrange to drive
Lauren today, but she's at the specialist - getting the annual Pennsylvania inspection and having the original front brake rotors replaced. So, maybe I'll hoist a glass in her honor tonight and/or maybe purchase a "nice to have" part for her.

Excellent Story
Great story. Sounds like your '85 has a great steward. It is always nice to see an older C4 being maintained and preserved. They are very special Corvettes in the great history of its more than 50 years of sports car American heritage.
Here's to many more years with your '85. Maybe someday I'll see it as I drive my '87 down the PA Turnpike.
Best of luck.

The hardest thing I've ever done with this car - getting
Lauren an NCRS Performance Verification in May 2011.

Congratulations on your beautiful car and those photos. Your wife is right, that is a brochure shot.

Great photos and beautiful car! There is something very special about that light blue color on the early C4s.
