So the next project I am working on has taken me to a couple of brick walls..but I'm still determined to get this stereo system in. Can anyone inform me the step by step process to removing the dash so I can see the wires to run brand new ones in?? I know its going to be a huge pain but I gotta try. Anything will help Thanks guys.
remove or loosen the drivers gage bezel, after that , it pretty much like any other stereo install, they make jumpers to interface the aftermarket stereo's with the vette

Interesting. I just got the same thing. I've used that link several times without problems in the past.
I just removed my Bose Radio and all the speakers, and was able to install a new radio and 6" speakers in doors and 6x9 in rear and still use the stock speaker covers!
As for the speaker wiring, the wiring going to the rear speakers is "Shielded"! so I chose to just reuse it. As for the front it's a piece of cake to replace the speaker wire going to the door speakers!
An update on that webpage. After being down a few days, I notice now some of the pages are a fee service. Better to just get the FSM or a friend that knows radio installs.
