PERENTI KIT CAR
Hi, I would like to ask if anyone would have some information & or pics of a Perenti which I believe is a Prototype made in Australia between 1984 - 1988 approximately (I believe only 100 or so were made). Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks for your time.
Regards, Ivy May :-)

Re: PERENTI KIT CAR (Ivy May)
Perenti !!! Now who would name their car after a lizzard, some bloke from the outback who has been out in the sun hunting opals to long I guess.
I take it that this was a re-body kit of some sort for early C-4's. I searched early copies of KIT CAR as well as the internet and couldn't find even a mention, except as a lizzard that is. Do you have any Pics, that may give us some help. DFoes it have genuine lizzard skin seats ?

Not sure about the Lizzard skin seats? I have also searched & searched the internet & found nothing except the lizzard! I do have a pic but how do I upload it to this site or where should I upload the photo?

Re: PERENTI KIT CAR (Ivy May)
My Dad and I went to look at one back when they were first released for sale (I think the first one built was the one my Dad and his friend drove when they went to check it out with me in tow) back when I was in school. The Perentti was basically a rebody kit made to fit on a HQ (or thereabouts) Holden chassis and as you would be aware closely resembles a 74-77 Corvette in its design.
I have some pics of one (a convertible) that I took at a car show about two years ago and may have an article on one floating around but won't have much time to look for either until after this weekend.

perenti origins
Hi Ivy May, just discovered your message. I actually put the first ever Perenti together with another guy named Alan. Alan put the body parts together, I actually made all the running part brackets, arms, levers, pulleys, etc etc etc and then made templates for all parts. The motor was by memeory a V8 350 Chev? brought in from the U.S.A. by Frank Hardey, who used to run Chevpower in Maddington, Western Australia, he started them.. I don't know if many people know this but when fixing outside parts to the body we originally used Sikaflex. The first Perenti took me and Alan nearly four months to complete, but I left as I scored a full time job with good pay just around the corner and this was really a casual partime sort of agreement with Frank..
