Default Pics needed of engine compartment

I'm looking for some pics of the engine compartment that show some detail behind the distributor.
Specifically the routing of the hood release cable and wiring bundle.

The hood cable was routed in front of the distributer. I would not believe this to be correct.

Here's one of mine. I have mine semi tore down atm so if no one else posts a better one I'll go snap a couple off.

I guess long story short is it goes behind the distributor along the firewall. As long as it works and your in that area you should be good to go.

Yea it's a different year and engine, but I think the firewall and hood release are the same.

Weaslebeak, thats exactly what I'm looking for. Could you take a few more of the harness and how its routed underneath the oil senders? Maybe looking down from a higher angle?

Both pics clearly show the hood cable against the firewall. Easy enough!!

Thanks guys! Bill maybe I'll be done by the parade? BTW you going?

This kinda shows the area of interest:

I may have a higher resolution version of the image at home that could be zoomed in on a bit. Let me know if you want me to check.

So what is perplexing is how the main harness is held in position behind the distributor.
I'm looking for clips or ties or something refer to.
Is it the bell housing? The harness just lays back there?

I shouldn't be surprised if that's so....

Yep, if I recall correctly it just lays across the top of the bell housing.
