Torn between buying the Falkins that come in the correct size (255/50/16) for my 85
or going down a size to 245/50/16 for these. Anyone have these and have an opinion?

Why would you want to go down a size when the correct size of tire is available?

According to the Tire Rack, the new 255/50-16 BF Goodrich tire will be available in a month. That gives you another brand choice.

Just weighing options. 255's are very limited and seems some are going down to 245's.
Just asking if someone has these tires or not.

And you're wasting how much time and energy now by berating him over it? Everybody just chill and have a drink.

A 245/50 tire (specifically the Kumho AST) is designed for a rim that is anywhere from 7 to 8.5" wide. That's too small for a standard 84-87 9-1/2" wheel. The tread width will be narrower as well. The diameter will be slightly smaller and that can affect the speedometer reading.
