Default OBX Exhaust

http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/i...ma/exhaust.jpg

Installing the new OBX exhaust.
Very Impressed. And Im racial.
Someone uploaded a clip of how this sounds on a lt-1 that alone is why i purchased.
Someone knows how to Tig weld there.
UPDATE
Well after 100 miles, I removed this system and sold and shipped it out.
1) Way too reserved sounding for me
2) system was short by 2"
3) chrome pipes already discoloring
4) great system for the money

Getting ready to install OBX on a ZR-1. Cost was $400 shipped for the exhaust. Looks great.

Also bought the OBX headees.

I've been waiting for a good video of this system for a while, the one in the thread you linked wasn't very good quality...

Any muffler shop can add a plug for the O2 sensor.

Its fantastic that they made the headers availe for the Zr-1.
I had watsons on my 92. Was lucky to find those. Only option until these were 1K+.
I am also going with headers from here for the 95.
The welds on these are quite great.

I bought OBX headers on ebay last spring and the quality and finish seemed to be great. They also fit great too! I went with these because the next cheapest set seemed to be around $700... What a joke, I find it ridiculous that they can charge that kind of money for a set of headers and that people ACTUALLY buy them. I'll stick with my $400 (Probably chinese) stainless headers that fit, work, look and sound great.

Wow, where can you order these? And the only conversion for an LT4 would be adding O2 sensor hole?

Let us know how the headers work out? Looking at those for my sons Z. We have already put ALLEN STAINLESS Chambered exhaust on it and man did that make a difference. Took about 15 min. to put the whole thing on. but we had a lift.

'wro87' Just got my obx headers on last weekend. If you are considering an install be aware that there is some modifications that have to be made (they are $550 shipped what do you expect). Personally I had to put some 'dents' in some of the primary tubes at the engine because they cross right over the flange bolt holes. That was kind of a pain but not a show stopper. You will also have to scrap or modify the oem speak plug brackets that attach to the engine and bend or remove the catalytic converter bracket on the drivers side for clearance. Lastly, you will also have to modify the a/c and compressor brackets but after all that it is a 'direct fit' haha.

All in all though, I would do it again in a heart beat if I knew that my Vette would song the way it does now. Especially with my CORSA exhaust it sounds amazing. It is not loud at all just cruising around town and no drone on the highway but as soon as you get on it the gates open and it gets extremely loud.

I love the sound and quality of the headers just had to modify quite a bit during the install. If you have a lift this would be 14 times easier. There is also a power increase that I can feel through all the rpm ranges. It seems to speed up on its own now.... haha.

Keep us posted. I am going to try to get an exhaust video together here this weekend but until then you can type into youtube 'c4 corvette full exhaust upgrade' and that is exactly how mine sounds after the headers.

Hope this helps. If you've got anymore questions feel free to ask.

-Will

I just bought another Z that has Watson's on it. I may end up selling the OBX or just Jet Hot Coating them and saving them for a rainy day. Not sure yet.

There's something to be said for a high quality product that fits without modification the 1st time.
