Came back home for spring break to find quite a few boxes waiting for me! I've got 4 days to get everything in the boxes installed onto and into the car! More pictures to come.
Nice thing about being home is that I'll have a little monkey to help me
Wheels indeed! 17" x 9.5" Reproduction A molds. Correct offset for the '85 so no spacers! Tomorrow i'm going to swing by discount tire and hopefully get some Nitto NT 555 275/40R17 put on the wheels
In the meantime i've got new rotors and pads to put on.
monkey see, monkey do
Just the three 10mm bolts holding the dust guard on.
Also just wondering everyone's thoughts on replacing the hardware such as the two large bolts securing the caliper bracket or the bolts holding the caliper to the bracket. My dad doesn't think it is necessary but i'm all for spending money at O'Reilly's
Sorry about the cross post but I am strapped for time and need an answer fast because school starts monday and I have to be back in Colorado by Saturday! I'm trying to hook up a single sub and a power amp to my existing bose system.
A few weeks ago I learned in the audio section that I could splice a signal from the speaker wire before it went to the bose amp and route that to the power amp and then to the sub. I've gotten the carpeting up and the storage lids off and now the actual work is starting. First, I'm not sure which wire is the signal wire to the bose amp:
C4 Audio FAQ has wiring diagrams which say that the brown and yellow wire and positive and negative for the left side rear speaker. I just wanted to double check this before I cut. Also correct me if I am wrong but do I splice the brown and yellow cable into a single RCA or two? http://www.corvetteradios.com./Page.html
Second, I'm not sure how to seal my MDF board to the fiberglass and how I should prepare the storage bin / speaker box. Any tips or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Lastly, if I want to run a RCA level **** for bass adjustment, do I put it inline before the power amp or between the amp and the sub?
Thanks again.

I just did a brake job on my '85 as well and re-used all of the bolts along with some threadlocker 'blue'. Although make sure you clean out the old grease for the guide pins and re-grease it, and make sure the guide pin seal boots are in good shape then you are good to go.

Sounds good! Boot rubber looks fine. Is just normal red grease okay for the pins?
Another update; I took the wheels to discount and they did not have the Nitto NT 555s in stock but they're being trucked from dallas and if I'm lucky they'll have them mounted and balanced by 5pm today!
