fuel tank sender problem?
I've noticed lately that when I fill up from "reserve" the pumps shut off after only ~13 gallons and the tank reads full. the owners manual says the tank is 20 gallons, so something isn't right. That also appears to match my fuel consumption - otherwise if I'm really using half a tank to go 120 miles on the freeway I have a serious leak somehwere huh?
What are your experiences with the stock sender possibly going bad like this, etc.?

Longshot here, but if you don't buy or replace/clean-up the float arm contacts on your pump assembly, try waiting until your driving brings the level down to almost empty and then siphon the remaining fuel from the tank. It is now EMPTY. Put 5 gallons back in and go down to the station and see if 15 gallons goes back in. If it takes 15 gallons, time to REPAIR or replace the pump float assembly. If it doesn't take 15 gallons but only 5 or 6, you may have a partially collapsed fuel tank.
