Wife bought her first Vette today. An 89 with 55k original miles. Missing 3 center caps and I found a picture on the site of a wheel which is like the ones on hers just wondering if anyone can help with a year model.I dont think they are 89 but I dont know. This picture is not of my car just using it as a reference.
I'm not sure what would be fair. $75 ea for the center caps? Eckler's price is $229 ea.
$500 for the set with rims? Three of the rims need straightening and they could use a nice clean/polish. They are off of my '88. I believe I saw a nice used set like this for $1800. $100 x 3 to straighten...
Its missing all the 3 center caps and bolts that hold them on. Crazy thing is,I went over this car with a fine tooth comb,I knew my wife wanted it bad. I restore vehicles so the dealership hated me when I was looking at it. Anyway.I had it at the shop the other day and low and behold a friend of mine says" Hey,you know you have one chrome wheel on here?"
Ahhh Bull! Sure enough I missed it plain as day. ITs same design just chromed and differnt style of caps. I felt so dumb. Now I got to get a wheel and the caps, hopefully try and sell the one wheel.LOL.
Thanks guys for the info. Stuk,I'll let you know on that.
My 92 came from the factory with a set of sawblades, but I updated mine with a set of a-molds which are period correct for the 94-96 cars.
Close enough for me.
