Default 1990 Corvette

Hi guys I have a problem with my 1990 corvette.I just took it out of storage when I put it in storage everything was fine until I took it out. When I start the car when it's cold the lifters are rattling and then after it warms up it fine. The oil pressure when it is cold is up to 40 and as it warms up it drops down to around 13.i haven't change the oil in 2 years because I only driven it 100 miles or so and the oil is still very clean.I have taken it to a local speed shop and he said he suggested rebuilding the motor I really didn't think that was the answer I wanted to hear before exploring other areas first.does anybody have any suggestions that can help me

Change the oil & change the filter.

Next, make sure the oil pressure sender is good at the rear of the intake. Pull the electrical connector off and look for leaks. If you see oil, it's bad and that would explain the low pressure readings.

Report back.

A little bit of lifter noise is normal if it's been sitting for a really long time. The question is if you shut it down and start it the next day, does it rattle again?

Although 13psi may be low, officially a SBC only required 10PSI per 1000 RPM's.

Its just the lifters bleeding off either replace cam and lifters or use heavier weight oil. But I really wouldn't worry about it.
