I just did this myself. I like the white light much better than the yellow incandescent color. I've got all of them in except the passenger side door map light. What I did was go through the list in the shop manual on page 8B-24 and pick out the ones I wanted to replace. I went here:
Most of them are festoon lamps except the ones behind the seats, which are wedge base.
I replaced the underhood lamps also. I got a surprise when I removed one lens and dropped it. It's GLASS (didn't break). I guess because of the underhood temperatures. I found out the true meaning of "smoked glass" when I cleaned it, because it was pretty dark after the fire I had in my engine compartment.
I've got a map light mirror that came from an S-10 pickup. The guy on eBay lied and said they're all the same (they're not). The mount is different, the connector is different and the circuit inside is not compatible with the courtesy light function and it only works when I turn on the switches. I'm planning on taking it apart and see what I can do to convert it to LEDs.
I don't know how they do it, but they are not polarized (you can put them in either way) -- which is not normal for LEDs. I guess there's a full-wave bridge circuit in the lamp.

Thanks for the response.. which wedge bulbs did you go with for the cargo area? there are so many different ones to chose from, all with varying #s of LEDs in them
I figured I would do the interior before I swap the rest of the outside Lights with LED
I did the corvettehid lights, I am happy with them, the tail lamps especially.
But I would guess that there are other options out there for individual bulbs
When did you do the CorvetteHID lights.. I emailed them on Tuesday and I have heard nothing from them. I was asking a simple question on the style of lights as well as expected delivery.
I have to wonder if they are still in business. I usually see them on DC, but they have not replied there yet either
I just received a pair of their HID fog lights and bought the interior light kit too, so yes Yosi is still around.
Already installed the LED tail lights and I'm happy with them.
Very bright!

Well, I would be fine with buying from them if they replied to email.....
So what do the CorvetteHID Cargo LED replacements look like?
When you replaced the brake/turn signal lite with LED's.....did you have to do anything about the flasher??? I have heard because the LED's dont draw as much power, the flashers dont work right. I pressume you replaced the fronts too???

Yes. When I bought the tail lights, I also bought the electronic flasher from CorvetteHID.
Have not done the front bulbs yet, but I plan to replace all of the lights around the car with LED's eventually.
Reverse lights and tag light are already done in LED's.
Used the bulb guide on the SuperbrightLED site, and it gave me the wrong replacement bulb for the middle brake light. They said it was a festoon. It's not. It's an 1156.
When I get time, I'll go around the whole car and inventory what I need, then place another order with Superbright.

Have not installed them yet, but all bulbs are direct LED replacements and you have the option to change the color from white if you wish.
I went with red.
I just went around the outside of the car and pulled all the bulbs.
Wrote everything down, then went to the Superbright site and ordered them all.
If you decide to do the same, remember that a bulb behind a red or amber lens needs to be the color of that lens.
Turn signal indicators on the front, behind the clear lenses need to be dual filament (1157) amber bulbs.
For the interior, I just bought the kit from CorvetteHID.com
It actually looks like they source their LED's from Superbright.
Once I have everything in hand, I'll spend a day swapping everything out.
I just installed corvetteHID LED interior lights. I'll try to post a picture later tonight once it gets dark. I was not exactly pleased with the speed of shipping. It seemed that Yosi, the owner of corvetteHID did not have bulbs in stock or something of that nature because my order did not ship for over a week. This would have been fine but I was not notified of the delay in shipping. Furthermore, when I tried to get in contact with Yosi via the number on the corvetteHID website, there was no response for a couple of days. HOwever, I did not use email and the actual ship time was only two days (USPS Priority Mail). So far I'm VERY pleased with the product. Bulbs are bright and installation was not hard. If your trim is old or brittle be careful. Like I said, my only gripe was with processing time; The product it great.
Anyone Have any Pics of interior or engine bay LEDS?
Worked on installing the interior lights today that I sourced from CorvetteHID.com
Since my car is red on red, I went with red LED lights for the interior (map lights are 'bright white').
Tough taking photos of red interior lights in the dark, but I can say that the visible light is greater than what the camera captures.
I finished the engine bay and most of the exterior lighting today too. The bulbs were all sourced from Superbright, with the exception of the tail lamps. Those came from CorvetteHID.com
Only bulbs left for me to install now are the front amber turn signals and the CorvetteHID fog lamps.
This has been a very satisfying project so far.
Looking forward to completing the transformation.
looks great! Are all the gauges, shift console, seat controls still orange? If so does look alright? And what about the cargo lights?
Trying to pull the trigger but cant decide on orange or red.

All the other back-lighting is still factory (orange) stock.
Looks fine with me, though in time I may begin transferring those bulbs to LED as well, and red would be my preference.
Tried to get a shot of the cargo lights, but it didn't take very well. Those are red too.
