Console "peeling"?

Console "peeling"?

I just noticed that 2 spots on the passenger side, top edge of the console of my '94 is "peeling". The satin finish is coming off, revealing a gloss underneath. It almost looks like a protective coating that comes on many plastic products, that you peel off when you get it.
Is this common? Anybody else have this happen?

Yup. My radio bezel was like that when I bought it and got worse. Took it out, lightly sanded it, de-greased it then sprayed it with a rattle can. Turned out great!

on my 96, i refinished the console bezel without a finish;

nothing to peel, nothing to chip,...

I'm not being sarcastic, but how did you, "refinish without a finish"? I'm confused, not that that's unusual.....

i stripped the rubberized dulso coating off the bezel, and did not apply any topcoat finish - bare, naked plastic! as i said, nothing to peel, nothing to chip. posted this several months ago...
