Well, by the math it is 20mm wider.
But since not all tires are created equal, it would depend on the manufacturer.
It has been shown many times in the past that one brand of 315 tire can be slightly wider than another brand of the same size.
What you need to do is go to a place like Tire Rack or Discount tire and look at the actual tire specs for each tire your interested in.
Go here and plug in your tire numbers, and you'll see the specs.

Keep in mind that is an "average". As I said, some tires of the same exact listed size don't always actually measure the same.
