What about the fuel? I wouldn't try firing it up until you change out all of the fluids and filters. Just my opinion.

All very true and you cant disagree with that logic... but doing all of this; doing it correctly and saying I or WE did it means alot more to me saying I found this car or I picked it up and the owner before me did this or did that and I dont know why this like this. I can say my family and I built this car from the ground up and i enjoyed every second of it.

Prices seem a little high, but I guess it depends where you shop. Also, it depends what you want from the car when you finish. Personally, I am not a huge fan of stock. I prefer more curves and custom parts, so a more expensive, better condition stock c4 is usually not even on my menu. Good luck on the rebuild.
