Are remanufactured Denso starters worth a crap?
I'm finding them on ebay for $85.00-$100.00
I know that any cheap rebuild is no kind of long term solution but in a 95 C4 that I probably will not have for very much longer...
It is also about half the price for the same starter sourced locally.
I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with them
Thanks

Asking to buy cheap crap is not the way to handle Corvette ownership. Buy a new starter they last
15-20+ years that makes it above cost effectiveness.

I needed a new starter for mine about 6 years ago. I needed it in a hurry so I bought the parts store reman. Rather than give them my OEM one for a pathetic core charge I took it and had it rebuilt. Now when (not if) my parts store piece fails I already have a replacement. I am really surprised it has lasted this long.
If time is not an issue, which it sounds like it isn't, see if you a have a local rebuilder. You will get an OEM quality starter for a reman price if you can wait a few days.
