Shift Kits any suggestions?
I've got an 89 Conv. that I like to auto cross, and drag a bit. The cars a lot faster than last year, when I got beat by a Mustang. I added some mods.( I'll beat him this year :mad ) Now I'm thinking about a shift kit. I only talked to one Transmission shop close by and he gave me est. of $300.00. :confused:
What should I be aware of or what kind of questions should I ask? If you've had one installed is it worth it?

I have a shift kit, but I haven't driven my car since I finished the installation. I would for a Transgo Shift kit, just tell who installs it to skip the 3-4 acumulator spring (reuse the stock one). The B&M IMO doesn't include much, the Transgo is much more comprehensive. Since having the experience installing a transgo kit, I could make my own B&M shift with my only cost being new filter& gaskets and couple of springs.
