I went to a car show last nite and seen a lot of C4 where they have changed all the inside and under hood lights to LED's
I like the look of my original lights on the doors when driving at night.
I also like the look of LED's under the hood.
I guess the question is. Does anyone have a good source and a bulb number.
I have a set of LEDs lights on both my motorcycle and Corvette. I got both sets on Ebay from a guy that uses the name Joe-Florida.
On the Corvette I have the lights set up with an on-off switch, so I can easily turn them off when I'm driving. The LEDs I'm using are multi-colored and with the system I can cycle though different patterns. They are mounted under the front just behind the splitter and on the back to each side of the exhaust.
Just be careful what color and how you display the lights outside the car. Many states have restrictions on the color and direction of certain lights. As an example, you can NOT display a red light and often a blue light in the front of the car. Flashing lights are also a problem in most states. Similarly, many states and municipalities have some restrictions on blue lights at the rear of the car. If you've ever noticed, most police motorcycles have a couple blue lights near the tag, and this is one way other cops figure out that speeding bike is a police bike. ;-)
Here's an example of the type of laws I'm talking about:
Ohio Revised Code, section 4513.17 prohibits flashing lights on motor vehicles with the exception of emergency vehicles, turn signals, and hazard flashers.
Maybe someone can chime in, but ive heard the exact opposite. Trying to gather as much info before changing over. The stock yellowish bulbs make the interior look so bleh.
Im afraid LEDs inside the cabin will be too bright.
I changed to "6000k" colored LEDs on my interior a couple years ago, with the intent to make it brighter... Its like turning on the sun when you open the doors at night. But it doesnt have to be this way, thats how I like it.
