Default Installing tail light louvers

Hey all, I'm trying to install tail light louvers on my '94 vette and running into an issue. Looking for someone who has installed them successfully who can help me out. Try not to laugh here... I'm not very handy

So I'm trying to install them by removing the screws in the rear tail light lens, putting the louvers on top, then screwing the screws back in... but whenever I have one side screwed in, the pressure applied from the bending plastic keeps the other side from screwing in. It just yanks out of the second side.

Am I doing something wrong? Thanks!

When i bought mine they came with longer screws to accommodate the louvers, i don't think the factory screws are long enough.

I thought that might be what it was... do you have any idea where I could find some of these? I bought the louver kit used and it did not come with them

Yep, even the washers....I live pretty far off the beaten path so Im lucky to have an Ace Hardward near me.....They have all the black screws that fit the doors and dash and most of the inside trim, I even bought stainless header bolts for my Hookers from them.....WW

As others have said, any hardware store should be able to fix you up.
