Just curious what some forum members would value a 96 LT4 at?
Some details
50k miles
Paint is a 10
Interior a 9
Well maintained
No power seats, no CD player, I don't think it has the electronic climate control.
I bought mine for 8k. it had 90k on it but is in decent shape. I put another 3k into it to really bring it up to par. I think I got a good deal and I love the car
Black and red on the top end, yellow or green on the bottom as a rule, personal preferences aside.
NOT...I have found those who like those colors will pay for them. Your assumptions are based on new car sales in which those colors are not as popular for sports cars as other cars.

Actually, that would come under personal preferences. Red and black are the two most popular colors for C4's and sports cars and are considered safe or traditional colors (resale red?). Other types of cars and trucks, the colors would be silver and white. The problem with yellow is, more people hate it than love it, as is the case with green. Yellow is a very rare color for that reason. When only one buyer in ten loves a color, that tends to reduce the market and depress the price. But of course, if you're that one person in ten, you might pay more for it. My favorite color combo is Polo2 over tan, but it's a bitch to sell.
In late 2010 I paid in the 14's for a red and red interior LT4 with 32k miles on it. perfect in every way. While some would say its a grand or two high, it was exactly what I wanted.
So if you want a green car, you'll be willing to deal more on one. I just think the market is more friendly to the more popular colors. Which makes it easier to get a little more cash.
The less favorable colors could sell for the same price, but you might be hanging on to them longer to get it.
