OK, radiator is out and a new one is ordered. I've had a leak in the AC system (which has been converted to the R-134 or whatever the newer type is). A charge will last maybe 3 weeks. I have not used a black light to see where it is.
The old A/C condenser has the usual amount of bent fins, dings, bug bodies and sticks imbedded etc. Wondering if - while everything is torn down - I should put a new one in. I'd hate to get the radiator all back together and find that's the A/C problem and have to take the shroud etc off again. Wish I had done the black-light test while it was together.
How common is it for the condenser itself to be the problem vs. some fitting elsewhere?
