Sorry... I couldn't remember your new forum name. Anyway... my uncle just informed me that a good friend of his just bought a nice, low mile 88 Vette. It didn't really mean much to me until he said it's called the "lemon peel". I can't wait to see the car in person. :D
The new owner's name is Pat. Hopefully he'll show up on the forum. I'll be sure to let everybody know when I actually get to see it.
Jim,
I'm very anxious to hear what you think about Lemon Peel! Be sure to tell your uncle that I'd be more than happy to talk to the owner and fill him in on anything if I can. As everyone knows, I had an abnormal attachment to Lemon and was happy to learn that "she" went to a good home!!
My Grand Sport was introduced yesterday to the New England Corvette show scene. We went to the Gate City Corvette Club's show in Merrimack, NH...and The Diva came away with first place in her class! Looks like she'll be a winning Corvette like Lemon!
I'll be sure to pass the word when I meet Pat (the new owner). I'll probably stop by with camera in hand. Hopefully he'll find his way to the forum as well. :)
Pat, the new owner, called tonight! He and I had a long conversation about the car, some of its quirks, etc. Right now, it seems Lemon has developed an electrical problem and is in his mechanic's shop already!! He's going to keep me posted as to just what the problem is...but he and his wife love the car, and I feel really good about that!!
Lemon Peel's new owner, Pat, called again last night. Seems that Lemon's problem was the need for a new ignition. He's happy that it was no more than that...and so am I! We had another long talk...nice, nice man. We plan to stay in touch and follow his adventures with my beloved Lemon!!
