Default Noob question

I don't know much about cars except for the 2 vettes I have owned. I watch a lot of car show on tv to pick up some knowledge. What does it mean when a car is an F body or B body? what does the letter designate. I know it's not a true vette question but I was just curious. Thanks

Different manufactures used letters to designate their various "lines." For GM, B body cars were full-size (1960s Impala, eg). For Chrysler, B bodies included the 60s-70s Charger.
