Has anyone noticed that their spare tire tray is signed? I pulled my space-saver out the other day to check it's condition and noticed the Date 6-4-90 and A171 with a signature that looks like Gary under it on the inside of the tray.
Are these parts signed and dated at Bowling Green as a final assembly step? I ordered this car in May, 90 and took delivery in July, 90 so the date fits.
Careful Pete,
Your age is showing. I remember that crash too, he lost control of his Hardly Ableson leaving a dealer lot in SoCal. He 'may' have seen my Vette at the Rock Store over the years since I lived out there for 17 years but he never signed it.

Maybe "Gary" was just so excited he got to work on the nicest Quasar Blue '90, he signed it.
I'll post a picture next time I have it exposed.

When I worked on C-141s, the top of the T-tail (accessible from the inside with a ladder, BTW) was signed by Air Force mechanics from all over the world...name, date, and location! Perhaps Larry was right, things just got a tad 'boring'....
