1986 Corvette. Car needs paint and some minor body work and might have a blown head gasket, everything else was running great before that (119k miles). What do you think the car would be worth if selling? Just trying to get a generic ballpark, not sure what i'm going to do yet.
New Transmission < 500 miles ago, new water pump recently, new MAF...
Wish i was that mechanically included to fix the head gasket ... I think that would be over my head ... Pretty much have to remove the top part of the motor right?
Thanks for the insight

IMHO, about $2500 in it's current state. I'm saying that's all I'd pay for it. Max! Getting it painted and running to sell would be chasing your tail. Getting it running right and selling it would get the best price for you. Maybe 4K to 4.5K. Pics?

I'm in Dallas Tx and I can find an 86, running, needs some cosmetics, $3,500 all day. And that is the asking price. I would check the local craigs list to see what simular models are going for.
ericjh, we are taking advantage of you here but we have seen this post about weekly since forever. The bottom line is C4 repair costs are unduly high making most any project car a non starter unless you really, really like the car and/or do the repairs/restoration yourself or don't care what it costs. If you fit the last category wait for a C7.
Wish i fit the last category It's looking like it's not worth selling and not worth paying someone to fix. I guess there isn't any better time to learn how to do it myself, can't really mess it up much more than it already is right?
I appreciate all the comments. I didn't figure it would be worth a lot.
Thanks
Eric
