I have to replace the Dana 36 differential in my 84. I'm thinking of getting it from Zip. I've considered others but the price seems very reasonable and they give a 12 month warranty.
Does any one have experience with differentials from Zip? I'm looking for the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly before finalizing my purchase.

'84 MY ratios were 3.07 and 3.31 I believe. I don't believe I'd want to do anything "numerically" lower for an '84 than the original. The used market for a 3.07 or "numerically" higher is still pretty strong but worth shopping maybe.
Is the ZIP unit just "refreshed" with bearings and maybe a clutch pack or is it a new R&P install with appropriate bearings etc?
All of our rebuilt differentials have a new ring and pinion, new bearings, clutch pack, and seals.
If you have any questions about anything we sell feel free to give us a call 1-800-962-9632.
