the people who argue the most about how crappy the opti is, is usually the people who have never had one. they like to pick out things wrong with other peoples motors to feel better about their own. truth is the opti is probablly more reliable then common parts such as fuel pumps, starters, etc

To give the opposite end of the opti experience. When I had my 95 I replace it 3 times. Not sure if the guy who installed it messed up or what but my 95 was a bit of a lemon at times.

Knock on wood that the 96 I just got never has the issues my 95 did.

I got a '96 last August (one owner, 24,000 miles), I've driven it daily since I got it and it runs flawless, zero problems, just like having a new car.

Judging by what I've read here on the forum over the past 5 years, the '95 - '96 Opti-Spark is more reliable than the earlier years.

I love my 92 vert. I have other vettes that are worth more and have much more power but after owning the 92 I think the world would be a better place if everone owned one.
