Default vert. top

Hey Guys, All the vert owners. This may have been done before but after I wash my black top there is always little pieces of lint and in my case dont ask me how but we have a little dog and his hair seems to get on my top. so what I do is use a peel off lint roller. and it works great. Now you have to wait until the top is dry.
I know it sounds stupid, but what is a better way to clean a black top

heres how i take care of my black rag top. theres a company called raggtop, buy there 2 part cleaner system. one is a spray bottle of cleaner, the other is a spray can of protectant. i take a stiff bristled brush and clean the top with the hose and cleaner and scrub real well. wait for it to dry off in the sun, then pick off any little hairs or whatever thats still on there (should all basically come off though with the brush). then apply 2-3 coats of the protectant. top will look brand new, repel water, and be much easier to keep clean.

You can find the Raggtopp products at Amazon.com.

Thanks Don
Renovo ultra proofer.. I bought a Saab and when it rained the water was permeating through the top. I tried Raggtop and some others and they did not work. Renovo sealed it right up.

I have a black top, too! I just keep the top hidden in the compartment behind the seats 99% of the time. Looks great there! No lint issues!
My biggest problem is the permanent wrinkles that i see on the few occasions when I put the top up!!

Now if I only had a way of keeping the pollen from coating everything in the car, life would be good!

How about the white vinyl tops. What do you use to clean them up without streaking up the wax on the paint when you rinse it off?
