Default Jack a Vette?

What is it? Or what does it do? Are they still available? I am assuming this is an attachment for a floor jack to raise the rear of a Vette without crushing exhaust pipes etc. Any idea why they are not available if the posts I have read are true? Thanks, Dave

the jack points are on the sides... inside the wheel base.

there are 2 little arrows that designate the jack points.

ecklers used to sell this little thing that would allow you to use the rear diff as a jack point.

The Jack a Vette is the best tool for jacking up the rear of any C4. It allows you to slip between the exhaust pipes and use the diff as a jack point. It's great!

Can you please tell me where I can purchase a "Jack a Vette"? Also, when jacking a wheel, is it common to use a piece of wood at the jack point to protect the paint?

I typically use blocks if I know I am going to be under the car for a while. These are industrial strength pressure treated blocks that we used for our trailer when we had to replace an axle. They are heavier than anything and sturdier than a brick you know what. I place a piece of 2x4 at the top and you can see that I have removed the lower molding to prevent cracking or breaking.
