If you need step by step instructions for this, try:

1. Read a Field Service Manual (FSM).

2. Hire someone.

3. Be friendly.

I did both mine a few months ago. Should have taken about 3 hours max, but I kept getting side tracked with "might as well jobs."

Here is a photo of mine in mid project:

I was surprised to see someone responded to this thread. I have not been on the forum in a while but do receive e-mail alerts from threads I started. The good news is, 5 years later, the new window sweeps still look new! I will check when I get home if I have any documentation or instructions on how I completed the task 5 years ago but I doubt it. I do recall it was not too difficult and most likely you can find a video online on a popular video sharing website that would show you the basics. Anyway, enjoy your Vette!

The old sweep literally crumbled when I was taking it off. I printed out a step by step guide on replacing the seals, they said half an hour a door... Any one else do this project recently?
I did my door weather strips at the same time and spent 3hrs per door.

Greetings All,

Ordered and waiting for arrival 88' outer door WINDOW sweep seals.

To the gentleman (Jim Spitzer) whom used the screws instead of rivets, Do you recall the size/pitch/etc of the screws you used or drill bit size?
