My service engine soon comes on periodically at highway speed. What's causing it?

A little more information would help, like year, any out of the ordinary things happening??

Probably the computer doing an egr check .. If you have aftermarket exhaust; that could be causing your problem.. That's what's happening to me, too.
The way I plan on fixing mine is going to be to reprogram my computer to run that check at 250°, instead of 175°. The egr will still be functional, after the change in parameters..

Based on your symptoms, I think the chances are VERY close to 100% that your EGR system is not working (error code 32).
