Default 1992 Stock Audio problem

Sorry guys, I this is a duplicate thread because I originally put it in wrong section of C4 forum. Mods, please feel free to delete other one....
--------------------------
When sitting in car, I feel like I can only hear the back right speaker.

I recently did a check of all the speakers and the back left is very low and some times pops in and out.

The front two are very low. But when I'm driving all I can hear is from the back right.

My initial thought was that it maybe the speakers and was going to replace them all this morning. Before I did that I did some research and from what I have gathered, the speakers are usually the last to go.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Will it be a pain in the *** to fix my self or do I need to bring it to an car audio center??

If it's bose the amps in the speakers are the first to go, and you can't just replace them with other speakers without replacing everything, which is a PIA. If you are happy with the bose speakers and want to keep the car stock, pull them out and have them repaired by places like Doctor Don, which is what I did. (www.doctordons.com). Otherwise go crazy and replace it all with whatever turns you on.

You can buy replacement amps on ecklers...kinda pricey, but quicker and easier than replacing the whole system.

I would replace the whole thing. take a look at the speaker covers, mine where covered in carpet.. I replaced that with speaker cloth, took a while but what a difference, then the speakers. Modded the original bose pods in the front to accept 6 inch speakers,,,huge difference. When I bought the car the original Bose was gone and a full stereo was in place but there was a lot of room for improvement. The crappy 3 inch speakers in the front and the fgrills where first. It had a 4 channel amp in the back which blew up so that was replaced. there where 2 bazooka tubes in the back, got rid of those and put 2 8 inch subs where the rear speakers used to be..huge improvement. Finaly replaced the head unit with an Alpine CDA117..amazing improvement. The hardest part is the wiring, have to remove some interior parts, seats, etc..and run heavy gauge cable to the battery. You could just start with a new head unit and 2 front speakers, don't even need the rears as they mess up the sound stage, its a small interior!.
