I know the answer is here somewhere but I can't find it. Here is my question.
Will a front mounting bracket from an 88 bolt up to a 95. I am NOT talking about the bracket attached to the roof. I am talking about the bracket that attaches to the windsheild frame. It has two torex bolts that screw directly into the windsheild frame. I have a 1995 and I have a top from an 88. I quess what I am asking is will a front mounting bracket from a 88 bolt up to the exsiting holes in the windsheid frame with no drilling?

Yes the brackets are interchangeable and have the same mounting holes for the A pillar.
I have put 89-96 brackets on my 85, the holes in the windshield header molding (for the tool to fit roof) are in different locations.You can drill a new hole for the tool, to tighten/loosen the bolt or get the correct year windshield header trim. The trim pieces are different also, i got the 89-96 trim pieces with the 89-96 brackets.
