Default Hardtop question???

Can anyone tell me if a factory hardtop from a 1990 convertible, is a direct bolt in for a 1994 vert? I am very close to making a deal on this 94 and found a hardtop from a 90. Just want to be sure they are compatible.
Thanks

Yes the hardtop from the 90 will fit the 94. Just be sure you are getting all of the pieces. The two heavy steel mounting brackets that attach to the B-pillars and the hardtop frame, the 10 bolts for the brackets, the ratchet to tighten the bolts, the box-end wrench for the two encapsulated bolts in the rear locator pins and the carpeted decklid protector.

If your 94 didn't have the hardtop as original equipment (RPO CC2) see if you can get the ground wire from the '90. You will need that to get the defogger grid to work. But you can make one if necessary.

IF you don't get the hardtop install instructions, send me a PM with you email address and I'll send you a copy.

When I bought my 1990 Vert in 2005, it came with the Auxilary Hardtop and the RPO Codes show that it was ordered with the car. If it weren't for the fact that the car was ordered with the Hard Top, I wouldn't want it. I will never use it. It has been in storage since the day I bought the car. A big PITA to install and a storage issue. If I were you, I wouldn't worry about getting one.
