Disconnect power antenna
I have a 93 vette. Want to disconnect the power antenna so it doesn't work when radio is turned on and off (use sirius). Anyone have any information/instructions on how to do this?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Just did this yesterday on my 87. Relay is under the rear black trim piece (mine is a coupe). 6 screws to undo, lift up the trim and you'll see the relay. On mine it's grey. Undo that connection.

I put a little switch on the green wire of the relay in the rear compartment (96) and there is a picture somewhere in the forum if you use the search...

Its solid wired to the relay from the motor. On the earlier C4's they used to cut the wires because the motor would run continuously and they didn't know about the relay conector.

The metal box is the radio receiver.
One of the wires is Pink. Install an on off switch
in series with that wire. It will prevent 12 volts from
getting to the antenna motor.
With switch Off antenna motor is disabled.
With switch On normal antenna operation.
Your 93 does not use an external relay. It's built into the antenna.

Is that also the case with the 92?
