Your 98 looks great and I know your going to have a lot of good times ahead. Enjoy and drop by here from time to time.

Pretty car! Congratulations!

I originally was eyeing getting a C5. I just sort of found my C4 and it was a great deal. (Plus the thought of no emissions REALLY made me happy.) I'll get a C5 one day...maybe.

In ride their is no comparison, the 98 definitely rides better, but I also liked the ride of 84, some say it it too harsh, but I liked it. Performance wise after all we are talking about 150 more horse power and torque (not sure), but that is self explanatory there. The seats are better in the C4 than the C5. The C4 just seems to wrap around you. My advice is to drive the two then make your own comparisons. If I could I would have still kept the 84...gonna miss it. Now the performance from the LT-1/4 to the LS1 I hear is not much, but I have never driven the LT-1/4. So the LT1/4 owners if they got a C5 would make that comparison. Hope this helps.

I was on the HRPT with two LT4's. Trust me. The performance difference between the two is non existent. With two equal drivers on a track the C5 will beat it, but not by much. day to day driving and an occasional stick in the butt, they are pretty equal imo. The C5 rides better on rough roads, but on a good road, I never noticed much of a difference.

And contrary to what people think, the C5 does ride like a vette. Just not as harsh on rough roads like I said.
