88 bogged well driving

88 bogged well driving
driving yesterday after 1 hr. my 88 vette, started to bog, so I pulled to the side of the road for a few minutes to cool off. But every three to four miles it would bog again,and I had to sit on the side of the road. I made it home an hour and half later. Any one know what might be the problem . I am going to go and change the gas filter and hoping that will be the problem but in case it is not maybe some one might know of some thing else. thanks

Be sure and check the fuel line sock in the tank. Pull the pump and see if it's plugged with trash. I've gone through this same problem before when I got my 88 a few years ago. It's just a good idea to R&R the fuel filter, fuel pump, after decades of use.
