I'm going to try the wire tie fix...drill a few holes in variouse spots on the back of the panel to attach wire ties and pull the top of the panel down to where it used to be..the ribs crack which lets the top of the panel rise up...I've tried gluing them, the L bracket fix, etc..none have worked..take the door panel off and you will see what is going on back there..there are hidden screws behind the door lock slide ..have to pry the slide off the rod and you will see it, also behind the map light, be careful getting the light out as its fragile and expensive, just slowly pop it out with a thin screwdriver..post up any more questions as its a bit of a bitch to do..I've pulled them many times..and going to once again...
Tried it today and no luck..the ribs arent cracked , the door panel is just warped..going to shoot a screw right through the end of the panel into the door..done..
I fabricated some adapted aluminum brackets from some 1/4 inch flat stock, machined them to fit and riveted them to the top of the inner door. Holds the inner door panel in place beautifully. Took 3 temporary templates to get the measurements right, but all said and done, it looks good.
