86 A/C Question???
I want to know do you have to change the compressor if you convert from R12 to R134?? What parts do I need for the conversion? I am about to change my radiator and thought about changing the condenser also. That would be the time to convert the A/C.

You should not have to change the compressor if it is working good and not leaking. Typical recommendation is to change the dryer/filter and evacuate the system before you put in the R134 and oil. You will want to check capacities and add gas based on gage readings. You might also want to carefully look at all hoses and replace any suspect ones at this time. Good luck!
