Techron and Seafoam seem to be the favorites on the forum.

Chevron Techron used by many OEM's. Ford, GM, Nissan,etc...This is what I use.
BG 44K is good as well.

I'm not a big beliver in those things but they have there place. I used maybe 7 lg bottles of techron to see if it would clean my injectors.. Well I'm ordering injectors.tomorrow... Maybe mine were to far gone.. But on a positive note my fuel gauge is working again..techrone does claim that there product removes deposits from sending units

As a matter of routine maint on good injectors.

For injectors that are clogged. Sometimes

For an engine that has been abused, regular maint ignored and/or high mileage.. NOT

Techron, BG 44K and Redline have documented proof. The Redline and Techron have the same cleaner in it and Redline had twice as much a few years ago when it was required to be posted within their respective MSDS sheet. There is another form that really delves into these items. Good luck

Far as keeping them clean goes, FWIW the "top tier" gasolines now-a-dayz have some pretty good stuff in 'em, apparently. After the third driving season (and 4 winter hibernations), my injectors (all 16) were still as spotlessly clean as they were at the first inspection - as new, in other words.

I happen to be using Shell 93 (tuned specifically for 93, but it runs in "closed loop" most of the time), but other big names are no doubt using the latest and greatest detergents/solvents as well.

I understand that for years Chevron (and others) were adding toluene (a coal tar and petroleum based solvent, aka "Techroline" now "Techron") both as a cleaner and an octane booster. Now we hear a lot about some new compound containing nitrogen as the latest in additives to keep injectors clean. Well, apparently, its working on my injectors. I used to use toluene to boost octane after magnesium deposits (from another then popular additive) started building up on the chamber walls and spark plugs. The toluene burned clean and did a fairly good job of keeping the intake valves clean(er).

Top tier fuel might be as important as a good tune to keep injectors clean.

Your mileage may vary...

Try them and decide for yourself. There's just so many different opinions. Some people swear they damage the car, others think they're so great they can cure anything including ED.
I use FI cleaners once or twice a year, and they do seem to work for me, but I really don't see a lot of difference between brands.

I've had good luck with both Techron and Lucas FIJ cleaners. Last long highway trip I did, I threw in a bottle of the Lucas and I actually did get more MPG (+about 2mpg) than I had been getting for the last few tanks. Some may be better, but I don't think any of them are harmful if used as directed.

Just as coach said, these additives work much better at KEEPING stuff clean than they do at cleaning already messed up stuff.
Although a heavy dose of both Seafoam AND Techron did restore my fuel sending unit to working condition....

I now keep Techron in my tank, since Chevron gas is not available where I live.

However, Top Tier gasoline is not available in all areas.
For example the only one in my area is Exxon and that 1 station I doubt goes thru a lot of 92, so I bet its stale. I use Sunoco 93 as it seems Sunoco is decent quality fuel. The Sunoco station is a busy one so lots of fresher fuel.

My first choice is Chevron premium gasoline. Additives are already present. Of course I have run Shell and Sunoco from time to time. On rare occasions I may have to settle for whatever is available when on the road.
