out rage!
..a little bit of TLC and it would hev been back to its original glory.
The owner should have sold it to somebody outright rather than trade it for the cash for clunkers cash.
I hope he NEVER has another Vette again ! !

I will admit that when I first watched that a few years ago one of the thoughts that crossed my mind was that someone paid a lot of money for that car and drove it off the lot brand new and probably took great care of it (at first). It was probably a point of pride with the original owner.
The positive of the video you're watching is that it makes your 'well cared for' C4 just a little more 'rare' because the supply has decreased by one beat-up car. The demand portion of the law of supply and demand hasn't exactly caught up with us yet - but it'll come.
The negative, from what I've been told about c-for-c, is that the car is property of the .gov and is to be scrapped as a whole, no parting out, no exceptions. Meaning those increasingly rare parts that you scour a wrecked C4 for, which may have been in perfect working order on that model, made their way to the crusher with the rest of the car.
While it sucks to watch a car die a slow death like that, there are some positives to be had.
PS - quick glance at the vid - is that an '86E? I see the perimeter valve cover bolts and the CHMSL.
