Shouldn't make any difference while going down the road 60MPH. I don't think the fans even run when you're going over 40MPH.My car will run COOLER in slow traffic with the A/C on because it makes both fans run. If yours runs hotter with the A/C on, I'd make sure the fans aren't wired backwards where they're trying to push air back out the front of the car. An LTx should almost always run cooler with the A/C fans running.
Agree. Your results are exactly the reverse of what should happen. Only if you lived in Australia where everything is upside-down would it be normal.
BTW you will get a much more accurate reading if you punch the "gauges" button on the dash until you see "cool" and a numerical temp on the digital display.

Where were MPH mentioned? OP is showing outside temps of almost 100 degrees, if he's cruising around town with the AC on and only one fan is working his temps will rise, hence the question, are BOTH fans working?
Both fans should be running when the AC is on. Are they?
I really have no idea why I didn't think about this !!

Will be checking that also

I'm laughing at myself now , I remember seeing that
but I didn't know that I can see the temp in the digital display. I don't touch the buttons often. lol
The LT1 was designed to run between 200 and 230. If I remember right the fans don't come on until 228. Also, bear in mind that the analog temp gauge is not linear, your temperature was probably not as high as you think it was.

The primary fan comes on at 228. The secondary fan(passenger side) comes on at 236, I believe. It's true that the electronic is a more accurate reading.
these cars will sit in traffic at 225.. hit the on ramp and BAM 190.
ive gone up to 235 on a hot day and was told to not worry.
I was told the same thing for my L98. This weekend, sitting in traffic waiting to get into a show, my car hit 220 for the first time this year. It worried me for a second, then I heard the fan come on and the temp gradually went down to 194 before it turned off leaving the aux fan running (that one is wired to come on first at a lower temp).

Mohammed....have you ever removed the radiator and cleaned off the front of it? C4's are "road vacuums" and pick up every possible piece of debris, and guess where it gets stuck? On my old 84 I found a plastic bag, cigarette butts, feathers, leaves, you name it. Cleaned and reinstalled, car ran 10-15 degrees cooler.
Your temps aren't really bad for where you live. I've seen 235 on Marco as well before it started to come down.
