opening hatch
just found out hatch will not open with out juice. just wanted to put pieces of dash there until new bulbs show up

There is an secondary release. Just a piece of stiff wire, will be near the latch on the inside of the car. Might be tucked back somewhat and you'll have to fish around for it. Pull on it and the hatch will open.

Hook the battery up temporarily to open the hatch

Wire exits on pass side of latch , is only 6" long
Some extend the wire and put a ring on the end to make more accessible

i didn`t know if there was a cable release, now i`ll go and fish it out. thanks for info. ordered 882`s. asking for xenon came up with nothing unless there is a number for it. thought i saw a thread saying they cost $30! yo man no wonder cost of vettes keep going up.

It's pretty hard to pull. I used pliers because I couldn't get it to release with my fingers.

Crimping a red butt conector on the end of that wire makes a nifty pull handle.
