Need some help. Last week I put my motorcycle up forsale for $8750.00 and its worth it it has alot of custom work done to it. Today I receive a text from a Corvette owner who wants to trade straight up. The Vette is a 1986 Silver Convertable Automatic with 40,000 miles on it. The car is flawless except for the damage on the nose seen below in the pictures that i've inserted links to.
My question is is it worth what my bike is worth or should I counter with Vette plus money for the bike?
You can find much nicer, newer C4's for that much money.
I'd get a car with straight body/paint work.
A near flawless 1986 Convertible Corvette with 40,000 miles. You aint gonna find a MUCH nicer and a MUCH newer C4 for $8700.00. You might find a newer one but it's going to have high, maybe alot higher miles and need repairs done to it. No question. Or you may have to travel a few thousand miles to find and ship or drive it home. That's worth a few bucks out of your pocket right there. Near flawless 1986-1996 C4 convertibles with LOW miles will bring the better money. A newer, nicer C4 convertible with straight body/paint work and low miles for $8700.00 is going to be a gamble to find although there might be one or two out there. Good luck!
