Duragloss??? Really? How do you know that? (Just curious, cuz I've spoken to Sal Zaino on a few occations, and I don't get the impression his dozen+ different products are re-packaged Duragloss. But, I don't know.)
Zaino = rubbish?? Not in my experience!
The "crucible" for any shine product, IMO, is a black car when exposed to dust in the summer sun. I lost track of the number of wax products I've used; some better than others, and most all of them look good when fresh on a properly prepped painted surface.
But, the problem I had with every one of the waxes - including every one of them mentioned so far, is they get soft on black paint in the sun, and dust will settle and stick in it like flies to flypaper! It was not uncommon at all to have to strip and claybar at least once a season with every wax I tried. Wax gets soft on hot paint and any little thing will mar the finish. Don't think so? Try wiping black paint that has been waxed while and after it has been sitting in the summer sun!
I really like a nice shine, but don't "get off" by waxing my car every week. I want something that will look good on black paint, will not become imbedded with dust in the hot sun (in fact it can be polished in direct sunlight), something that lasts for multiple seasons w/o stripping and claybarring every year in spite of living on a gravel road, and will retain that "wet tar" look several seasons without hazing.
Zaino does all of that for me.
This was my black 95. This pic was taken in the 4th year since initial prep and claybarring. Washed and spritzed with a shine enhancer and go. Each season I put a fresh polish coat on it and then Clear Seal.
This is the end of the 3rd season on my Z since it was stripped and claybarred and then polished.
Rubbish? Well, I'd be interested to see what works better, but I wouldn't call it rubbish!
