just bought a 92 and seems to run hot around town goes up to 230 then goes back down when fan kicks in on highwayb runs cool anybody else ever had had this
You probably need to pull your radiator and clean the crap out from between it and the condenser. Very common problem with C4's as they are bottom feeders...basically they suck cool air in from underneath so they're like giant vacuums sucking up road crap. Very easy fix, though.

C4 owners should get a kick back on their taxes as they help keep the roads clean.
200 is 'normal' for a 92 LT1.
At 228, my fans kick on and bring the temp down to something less.
It concerned me at first, but I learned here that these engines tend to run hot due to their emissions requirements.
Keep the radiator area clean and enjoy her.
Also check to make sure there isn't any air in the cooling system. Hold a rag under the bleeder screw and crack it open when the engine is warm, then close it when nothing but fluid comes out.
