The dreaded Rear of the intake oil leak has bitten my Corvette.
I cleaned everything off and took it for a drive and I could see where it was coming from. Jerry's Corvette Center replaced the intake gaskets before I bought it so maybe they will warranty the work. If not I will do it myself.
Added Dye and under blacklight the rear of the intake is leaking oil. They said they will fix it
Tell them to dimple the china walls and intake with a punch, this will give the sealant something to hold onto so it won't slide out from between the intake and china wall...Also tell them to use "The Right Stuff" instead of RTV, once this sealant cures it won't slide out like RTV does.If you have to buy it yourself, do it, The Right Stuff is far superior to RTV .I have done probably 5 or 6 intakes with this sealant and never had a leak, ever....WW

I agree completely with The Right Stuff. I've never dimpled a china wall and I've still never had a leak using The Right Stuff.
Decided to do it myself after I noticed they forgot to put a bolt back in the cable bracket on the plenum and a nut on the fuel injector wiring harness.
Started the tear down tonight. Going to replace the Thermostat and valve cover gaskets also.
Also toying with doing the TB Bypass, A.I.R. Delete and EGR Delete.
I dimpled the block and intake, Used the right stuff.
Thanks for all the help. The Factory Service manuals came in handy.
I also did the following:
1. Replaced the Torx Bolts
2. Replaced the O-Rings in the Fuel Rail and Injectors.
3. Removed the A.I.R. Pump
4. Removed the EGR Valve
5. Replaced the thermostat with a 180 (was a 195)
6. Cleaned the Throttle Body
7. Did the Throttle Body Bypass
8. Resealed the Oil Pressure switch and fittings
