Well I FINALLY got the time to due some cleaning/detailing. I bought a new brake kit from Brakemotive waaaay back when they first offered their "package deals" and I figured I might as well clean up the chassis while I have it all apart.
Sorry for the fuzzy pic's, still getting used to the I-phone camera!
Amazing what some degreaser can do!
How did you do it? Did you use hot soapy water or degreaser?
Is that sway bar a 26mm or a 30mm?
I used a de-greaser from Advanced Auto Parts (it was on sale! lol) it worked MUCH better than Gunk, I think it had more of a solvent base.
Lots of shop towels and elbow grease! Took about an hour on each corner, but worth the effort, looks much better in person.
I believe my fornt bar is the 26mm (I don't have the HD suspension/brake option).
Great job, looks like new. Did you talk to Sean and get the front pads situation taken care of?
I did call the customer number and a sales rep offered to send new pads (I bought new ones locally because I wanted to get ready for a show this weekend). I feel this is an acceptable resolution however.
Thanks Brett!
Doing good, decided to keep the frame, it's just to cool top part with it! lol.
Finally getting time to work on my car, had a few gremlins to chase down but it's running great now and slowly looking better too!
Hope all is well with you too, talk to ya soon.

I have personally seen and worked on Mike's car and it's amazingly beautiful....this just tops it off. I also like NAPA's aluminum brightener (about $10 a bottle) for cleaning up the suspension pieces.

...and without good friends it would only LOOK good, and not RUN good!
