Power window switch installation
Wow, I did it; I put in new power window switches myself. This may not qualify as a big deal to some.......engine repair, fan motor installation,......
But for me at 73 years-of-age, I feel like I was successful in doing something
The point of this is: an older Corvette that needs some "attention" fixing is a great project. (the switches were only $7.50 apiece) And it gives me something to do.
My next project is door panel replacement! This 87 Corvette has added a lot to my life and cost so little.

Congratulations! I'll be 67 next month and although my 50+ years of wrenching on cars has gotten harder with each year, it still is an excellent stimulant for the mind and character as well! The bandaids and creative language have never ceased to be a part of the experience but the final reward of a job done to your own satifaction has always been worth it!

And, you saved some money rather than paying someone to put them in for you! 
But I think even if I hit the powerball I'd still do a lot of my own work just for the satisfaction.
