early model c-4 coilover question ???

early model c-4 coilover question ???
I was woundering if any of you guys have done this conversion, you see I looked at DRM kit and they say it if only recomended on 89-96 models and I e-mailed them and they said the mounting locations were weak. My question to you guys is can it be done on the early models or it like beating a bush.
