Replacing the window motor, driver's side, on my '92. Been using this guide http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c4-t...with-pics.html and the FSM. I bought a reconditioned regulator with the motor, rather than removing the rivets to replace the motor only.
The window is in the "up" position. I need it part way down to access the stops etc to remove them. Is there a way to manually crank this thing? The old motor won't operate to make it go down, that's the reason for the replacement in the first place. I looked it over but don't see an obvious way to make it move.
Guess I could stick a saber saw in there and cut a section out of the old regulator so I could get at the things I need, but there's got to be a better way.
Hornet, I had just figured that out and was coming in to post it. Thanks and you are right on, that's the answer. Now I feel a bit foolish for not trying that before yelling for help. Thank you!
